Hello friends and neighbors, I am sorry this took so long to get up and running, but I live now in the Land of Great Delays, and we have had some delays. We have been in India now for 8 weeks, and we are getting things figured out. Since I was not on-the-ball right from the first, I won't really be posting in chronological order, but rather in chapters that I hope will be informative and entertaining both. We find life here to be both of those things - we are learning alot and we laugh at alot of crazy stuff too! (and sometimes we want to cry.) (and sometimes we want to punch someone.) We are glad to be here, having this adventure. Some days more than others. There is no way to adequately describe the way it is here, so I will use a lot of photos. Even those often don't do justice to the things we see, but it is as close as you will get! Unless, of course, you decide to buy a plane ticket :)
If you have an idea for a future chapter, please email me or comment. We are already getting used to things, and some stuff no longer shocks and amazes us!
This photo is Randy and I dropping the kids off at the school bus - that is the bus behind us, just pulling in! The kids are in their summer uniforms - skorts so it is not a bad as they feared! We are standing on Sohna Road, a main highway heading south to the city of Sohna. Right now it is under construction (more on that later) and it is VERY dusty. Behind us is the road that leads to our neighborhood (more on THAT later, too!)
Anyway, welcome to our blog. I am glad you have come to the DelhiLeavitts for wisdom and enlightenment!

Wow, you all look great. Are those glasses on your face Alex? If so, I didn't know you were wearing them. You look very pretty. Sure hope you will not be feeling badly for long Randy. I worry about you guys picking up something. To be making gears already, even for practice I think is great. I'd say things are progressing well for as long as you've been there. Hope things continue to go OK. I'm looking forward to your posts and especially your pictures. Our love to all of you.
Hi everyone. Glad to see you in your new country and in your look-alike school clothes - even your shoes match. Glasses on Alex looked new to us also - makes you look older Alex. Like your hair cut too. Do all the students wear their shirts/blouses over top, that is outside the skort/pants? What do you wear when you don't go to school?
Winter is slowly moving in. -2 tonight but no snow yet. Will watch for new updates. Love JD & SG
Hurry up and get writing, woman! I need to hear all these great stories!
