Holi is the Festival of Colours - it has something to de with harvest and bounty and all that, but basically it means people throw coloured powder at each other. This year we went to the Stoker's farmhouse for dinner and to "play" Holi.
Water guns also play a part - sometimes with coloured water, sometimes with pool water!
Miranda and Kiera Barnes. Kiera asked Miranda to push her into the pool. So she did.
Believe it or not, it all came out easily in the wash. Isaac's shirt had some faint blue marks, but the rest came remarkably clean!
The Holi party was Saturday night before the actual holiday. On the day, we were staying pretty close to home (Ajay was off and it is safer to stay off the roads) when the doorbell rang and Holi made a house call! Anita and Sadmet, their daughter Alisha and Ansheeta came to colour up Miranda, and they came in and marked us all! As you can see, being out in the neighbourhood could be dangerous!!
